About Me
Hi! I am Jayme Stephens. I am a certified Dog Trainer and K9 Handler. I grew up in Wisconsin and started to analyze dog's behaviors as a kid. It became very evident that dogs are misunderstood, and humans try their best with what they are given. I truly find joy in teaching others how to understand their dog and improving their relationship and livelihood.
I am a proud Marine Corps Veteran. After my active duty time, as a civilian, I attended American K9 Interdiction to become a certified dog trainer and K9 detection handler. My K9, Mazikeen, and I worked in California screening cargo for explosives. The part missing was teaching others. This is where K9 Mentality has come to life.

Consultation: This is the opportunity to learn more information about you and your dog, and see if we will be a good fit! The evaluation and consultation are done in the same meeting. This gives me the ability to provide feedback on the spot and structure our training plan. Understanding the consultation fee is a nonrefundable $50.
Programs: Each program is tailored to the individual dog and human. Typically programs are between 10-16 lessons and are priced after evaluation to provide a detailed training plan. Payment plans are available!
Gear: Basic training gear is provided by K9 Mentality.
